Episode 111: Sweet Potato Rolls

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup pureed sweet potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups flour

Directions:

  • Add water to a mixing bowl
  • Add active dry yeast
  • Add sugar
  • Mix well and wait 5 minutes
  • Add pureed sweet potatoes
  • Add egg
  • Add sugar
  • Add salt
  • Add flour
  • Knead for 5 minutes
  • Make the dough into a ball and allow it to rest for an hour
  • Punch the dough down
  • Tear the dough into 8 balls and allow to rest on a silicone baking dish for an hour
  • Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes
