Episode 126: Vegan French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 slices Brioche bread
  • Powdered sugar

Directions:

  • Add some vegan butter or oil to a pan over medium heat
  • Add chia seeds, nutritional yeast flakes, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and salt to almond milk
  • Mix well
  • Dip both sides of a slice of Brioche bread into milk mixture
  • Cook until both sides are golden brown
  • Top with powdered sugar
  • Serve hot with maple syrup
