Episode 123: Thai Iced Tea

Special equipment:

  • Tea strainer

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Thai tea leaves
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Plant-based milk of choice (may substitute non-dairy creamer)

Directions:

  • Add Thai tea leaves to a large pot
  • Add cane sugar
  • Add water
  • Mix well then put the pot on a stove on high for 5 minutes or until tea begins to boil
  • Boil the tea for 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Allow the tea to cool down
  • Strain out the tea leaves
  • Get a glass and add ¼ glass of shaved ice
  • Add 1/4 to 1/3 glass of Thai tea, depending on your taste
  • Add about ½ glass of plant-based milk or non-dairy creamer
