Episode 165: Corn Tortillas

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups masa harina
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea-salt
  • 1 & 1/2 cups hot water

Special equipement:

  • Stand mixer (optional)
  • Tortilla press (optional)

Directions:

  • Mix the masa harina, sea salt and water together
  • Knead until you get a soft dough
  • Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes
  • Roll into small balls
  • Cook in a tortilla press
  • Alternatively, roll the balls out into a thin circle and cook on both sides in a skillet over medium heat
  • Serve hot with toppings of your choice
