
Ingredients:
- 1 block of extra firm tofu
- Sandwich bread of your choice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
- 1 teaspoon kala namek (black salt)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garbanzo bean flour
Directions:
- Freeze and thaw the tofu twice
- Pat the tofu block dry
- Cut the tofu into a patty-sized shape to fit the sandwich bread
- Set aside
- Add the water, soy sauce, turmeric, nutritional yeast flakes, kala namek, onion powder, and garbanzo bean flour to a small bowl
- Mix well
- Dredge the tofu patty on both sides in the sauce mixture
- Allow the tofu to marinate for at least 1 hour
- Fry the tofu patty until golden brown on both sides
- Serve hot as a sandwich with bread or biscuits
