Episode 66: Vegan Hot Dogs Version 2.0

Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 cup red lentils
  • 1 cup wheat gluten

Special equipment:

  • Blender

Directions:

  • Soak the red lentils in a small bowl of water for 30 minutes
  • Drain the lentils
  • Roast the vegetables at 425 degrees for 30 minutes
  • Chop all the vegetables into small chunks
  • put the vegetables and lentils into a blender
  • Blend until you get a loose mixture
  • Pour the vegetable mixer into a bowl
  • Add the wheat gluten and mix quickly
  • Roll into hot dog shapes and cover with aluminum foil
  • Steam the hot dogs for 10-15 minutes
  • Serve on a bun with your favorite condiments:
