Episode 138: Fried Turnip Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 large Japanese radish
  • 1 package turnip cake mix
  • 6 cups water
  • 3 green onions, chopped

Directions:

  • Peel and shred the radish
  • Put 8 cups of shredded radish in walk over medium heat
  • Add 3 cups of water
  • Boi for 10 minutes then remove from heat
  • Mix turnip cake mix with 3 cups of water in a large bowl
  • Add the turnip cake mixture to the wok
  • Add the green onions
  • Mixed well
  • Pour into glass dish
  • Steam for 10-15 minutes
  • Cut into small rectangles
  • Fry on both sides until golden brown
  • Serve hot with soy sauce
